Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 4 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker  Review (New model)

Play your music with the best speaker that your money can buy. For $144.95, you’ll receive this amazing Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 4 speaker that’s the new model. They listened to all the feedback customers in the past had and created a speaker that will blow all other speakers out of the water. With the unique design that actually lends itself to better sound quality, you’ll be amazed by what this speaker can sound like. Forget about the speakers in the past that would leave you with that fuzzy sound whenever you push it past half volume. Even at full blast, you won’t ever hear that horrible crinkly noise that so many speakers are known for.

Best Features of Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 4

There are a lot of amazing things about this speaker, but the best features are some of the most simple. This speaker has the ability to connect to more than 100 HK speakers with the Connect+ feature. The battery is fully rechargeable, so say goodbye to having to go to the store and constantly pick up new ones. A full charge should last about 8 hours of continuous music being streamed. Connecting to Bluetooth has never been easier, and two devices can connect to the speaker at once. This is nice because you don’t have to pause the music just for someone else to take a turn to stream a song or two. It’s a seamless transition that happens in just seconds. You can also connect to Siri or Google Now with the press of a button, and the speaker comes equipped with an app that will make set up for that even easier. It’s finished with superior fabric that is tear resistant and should hold up against a lot of different damage so that your speaker stays pristine looking for as long as you have it.

Pros

This is the full version, so it is fairly big. It weighs 7 pounds, but the music can be turned up very loud on this speaker. The sound quality is crystal clear and the bass is rich, so you can play all the R&B or bass heavy music without any issues. It stands up by itself and doesn’t require anything extra to play. The sound easily carries throughout large homes or rooms, but it also does amazing outside as well. You can aim the speaker to play in a certain direction, so there won’t be wasted volume.

Cons

For such a large speaker, the battery only lasting 8 hours is a bit disappointing for many users. However, it can still be used while it is charging.

Final Verdict

This is a speaker that many people enjoy. You’ll be happy to use it once you see just how great it plays. While it’s a bit heavy and pricier than other models on the market, you are definitely getting what you pay for. This speaker is meant to be luxurious, and it’s going to play to some of the best crowds your home has to offer! With it being highly recommended, you shouldn’t hesitate to purchase it.

YES!

Love them so far 5 days in. Bass is adequate once both (I bought two) speakers sync up in stereo which can take 5-10 sec. LOUD for their size. I found however the highs get a little harsh when turned up past 66% and the bass doesn’t keep up volume wise. So far I found the sweet spot for bass/treble balance between 40-60% vol depending on location and content. So far, great value!

This is the real deal! A genuine onyx studio 4 by Harman Kardon at an excellent price! Not sure why anyone would pay more anywhere else. Beautiful well balanced sound!

Best wireless out there by far!

I bought two and they work really well. I mean REALLY well. These speakers are by far the best product and value or anything on the market right now. Glad I waited 2 years to buy and got the 4’s since they connect to each other seamlessly. I usually have them 15-25ft apart and my phone is often 30-50 ft away. I’m sure when summer comes around I’ll try to extend those in the backyard. Great bass and you can turn it up loud….very loud without distortion. I shopped around a lot so save yourself the time and energy and just by these. Hope this helps you decide.

Harmon Kardon Onyx Studio 4: This is one awesome product & a must have for the true music lovers. I was at a friends party when I saw this. Honestly, I’ve owned many branded products which have very low & inferior bass but this one is just perfect. Love the bass effects & the voice clarity. A genuine fan of such superior high quality products. I’m so happy to own this.

Everything is awesome… except the battery life.

Awesome sound and design, but don’t expect the battery to last. I would give this speaker 5 starts but the battery life (when playing louder, which everyone will do), is awful. You just might as well keep it plugged in while you play. They claim 8hrs of battery life on a full charge. That’s IF you play it on the lowest volume.

This is an EXCELLENT bluetooth speaker for a stellar price

This is an EXCELLENT bluetooth speaker for a stellar price. For reference, I own/have owned the Bose Soundlink Mini and Color, Sony SRS-55, JBL and UE Roll.

Good Sound with Notable Bass

Excellent sound, and decent bass for such a compact speaker. Very easy to connect via Bluetooth with Amazon Echo. I do wish that the Echo would play simultaneously, and do not understand why it has to be one or the other. I wanted to play music in two adjoining rooms.

Top of the line

The sound is amazing and loud. I listen to it every morning while getting ready at medium volume for 30 minutes or so and rarely have to charge it. I plan on getting another one so I can have one inside and one outside for parties. It even connects effortlessly to my computer bluetooth where I have had difficulty getting anything, including my Bose headphones to connect to it. The only con I can think of is that I have not yet figured out how to tell what the battery life is at other when the power button goes red indicating low battery. My Bose headphones give me a percentage readout on my iPhone but this just says its connected (if somebody knows of a way to get the battery percentage to show please let me know).

Unparalleled sound for the size

Bought the Onyx Studio 4 to replace the original Onyx Studio because I love the sound so much. Sound quality is pretty much the same (which is amazing!) , but this one has a better battery life and an auxiliary input not previously available. I have this connected to my Amazon Echo Dot via aux input as this connection will always be better than bluetooth. The sound is simply incredible and I listen to so much more music now that I have it connected to my Echo. My previous Onyx lasted about 2 years and I bought the square trade 4 year warranty. Hopefully I won’t have to use it.
