This speaker is really unique. Even though the color is silver, the middle of the speaker is made up of deep reds and yellows and oranges throughout. It delivers 360 degree sound, so you won’t have any part of the room that is missing music. You can use it for more than just playing music, and it’s really easy to take with you wherever you go. It weighs just one pound, and it can easily fit in your bag without you noticing it at all.
Some users have had problems with the battery not holding a charge after a few uses.
Overall, this is a fun speaker that will delight a crowd. The color effects are really cool and fun, and it will light up the darkness if you’re having a party outside at night. It’s definitely unique, and it is as much as an entertainment piece as it is a speaker. It delivers some amazing sound.
User review of JBL Pulse 2 Portable Splashproof Bluetooth Speaker
“This thing is awesome. I ordered once and got a defective one but the replacement is fantastic. Primarily I use this in my kitchen via Bluetooth from my tablet, so I can hear things above the vent fan, running water, and frying/cooking. It is in a corner under a cabinet, and the sound is amazing. You can hear it clearly and the – perceived- frequency response is amazing. I say perceived because anyone who expects true bass response from such small drivers is not thinking clearly.
The real challenge is about perception of dynamic range, and this is quite good. I also use it outside when doing yard work and it’s nothing short of amazing. It easily floods my 50′ x 35′ fenced backyard with good sound at 50% volume and plays loud enough to echo off the neighbors houses in the front, which is open to the street. In fact I would say it borders on nuisance volume, as I have had neighbors over 200 ft. away mention something.
Luckily they appreciated my taste in music. Again, it’s not a blasting sound, but spreads far and wide and is great for what it is designed for. I don’t have any problems with the power port but I am a reasonably careful person. I’ve had it playing outside for 5+ hours with less than 50% battery drain, and it charges just fine. The LED modes are OK. Nice to look at, especially at night. The background color sampling is a cool idea but not worth much really. Contrary to other people’s assertions, there is an “equalizer” mode that changes with the sound. It’s just a little behind because it’s actually listening to itself to produce the effect.
You can tell because if you leave it in this mode with nothing connected, it will detect noise in the room and react to it. The speakerphone function is great. I’ve used it from 12 feet away and the other end reported the sound was excellent, as though I was on the handset. People who are having problems with bluetooth connectivity are a mystery to me. I have connected to it with windows and android tablets and phones with no problems. My only real complaint is that the volume controls are not palpable.
You really have to look at the back to change the volume on the unit. Windows devices allow you to control the volume independently from the actual volume on the unit, while Android controls the unit volume directly.
So it’s not too much of a problem but is annoying. It’s too bad they don’t make this any more. The new version got a lot of hype but is far behind on release. I say buy while you still can.”
JBL Pulse 2 – demo and soundcheck
I would like to present you the JBL pulse tool and I already regretted that I haven’t presented it before my wife and my son both fell in love with the speaker my wife even claimed that this is the best speaker I’ve owned so far and I really owned many more than hundred.
she also claimed that this is the only speaker she would have ever bought it’s not only because of the sound quality but particularly because of the nice light effects it has if we look at the packaging this is already pretty unique.
it has some kind of lenticular effect if you tilt the box you’ll you see that there are some moving effect so really nicely done and this the special of that pulse is of course it’s light show let’s turn it on and I will darken the room slightly so that we can see this better so what you see here is the fire effect the effects can of course be changed directly through the speaker with this light button here this is the Stars effect or the speaker of course comes with an own app.
the JBL connect app which is also used for all the other JBL speakers I hope it’s visible and here we have the JBL pulse tool and we can switch between different effects for example fire again you also have different options for each effect I can make it larger.
this is the large version we can make that fire even smaller and some effects come with an own sound effect as well here is the fire effect it sounds like that.
yeah if we turn on volume turn up volume or down you can see it shows you the correct loudness level then we have of course rain also with different effects this is light rain medium rain or heavy rain we have how is this column English fireflies yeah what here we can paint them then we have stars and I think it’s really pretty nice you can use the speaker simply as some kind of ambient light or something
you can also I think what can be done here here meet yours what we have the fireworks this comes without sound of course what’s nice about the fireworks effect is that you can if you do more two more you can see a heart appearing yeah you can see it here or there is a scent clock yeah this is not that impressive but you can even hasn’t a timer we have five meter I don’t know what happens after five minutes if it turns off or something then we have traffic and an on canvas where you can well paint but it doesn’t work that well because the resolution of the of these LED lights is not but you can see if we try painting across it should appear more or less as cross.
well it doesn’t look that well and after some time it disappears again but let’s try let’s try again maybe a heart it’s not that easy come on yeah let’s see if we it’s not that visible or you cannot recognize it as hard and of course all these effects don’t are not synchronized with music they simply play back like that but of course we have also an equalize effect and this of course works well with music I mean it is more or less sync in sync also here we can make it either small or large there is a wave effect as well which is also in sync with the music more or less so the effects are really really nice and as I already said my wife tends to use it simply as an ambient light without any music and I think it works really well it can glow for several hours like this.
The sound is wonderful, the color effects are fun but I bought …
