I’ve been meaning to make a review on this speaker as it’s the overall winner of all the BT speakers I’ve tried the past couple months. Here are the following speakers I’ve tried in order and I will conclude at the end why the Anker SoundCore Boost won:
Easily the best wireless speaker under $80.

Anker makes fantastic third-party accessories. What I love about Anker is its commitment to great pricing on products that work and work for a long time.
Oh yes! This Anker has base!

My daughter and I did a bit of an experiment. Last year, she purchased a Bose Soundlink speaker of similar size. When I received my SoundCore, we put them side by side and did multiple sound tests using the same song. We did this for multiple genres of music including Classical, Pop, and KPop with heavy beats.
Good sound, great customer service

Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for. I’m not taking it backpacking, deep sea diving, or to the beach. I wanted something small but with decent sound quality and power to fill my small apartment with music without being “that” neighbor. This speaker fits the bill. I’m no audiophile, but the sound is largely crisp and clear, and only buzzes a little at high volumes. The bass boost is noticeable, but nothing to write home about. It lends a little depth to the music, depending on what I decide to queue up at the given moment.
Anker did it again..

Amazing SOUND. Deep Base. Clear Highs. Well worth the money and in my opinion, ranks up there with Speakers twice the price for this genre. You will not be disappointed in this unless you’re wanting a custom mixed professional sound system. I’m using this at home in the kitchen, bathroom, work, out and about, traveling. What’s great is that this will directly connect to your phone with your USB cord and charge your phone at the same time. I’ve yet to run the battery out. NO problems Pairing with the phone. Simple button layout. Sturdy construction. I have no honest complaints. I will update this review as time progresses as I do with all my reviews if you wish to keep up with them.
Fantastic for music, ok for phone calls, annoying issue with aux port recognition after auto shut offs

My desktop computer speakers went bad after 5 years, so I needed something that sounded equal to or better than my Logitech T12s. I already own thew Bose SoundLink mini 2 and it sets the bar quite high for what i wanted. Many reviewers claimed that the Anker was somewhat equivalent and i cannot disagree. Playing music, just sounds real good for small spaces/rooms. Certainly not as good as the Bose but close enough considering the $100 price difference. In fact this Soundcore boost made me realize that the Bose lacked bass but the highs and mids are incredible. The Boost did a great job on the lows and bass, without the overwhelming bass that some portable bluetooth speakers have. They usually sound terrible at high volume but not the Soundcore Boost.
Speaker sounds great. Had a little trouble with 1 but solved the issue.

Speaker does a great job of playing back any type of Music. I listen to edm, country, alternative, rock, hip hop, rap ect. I did get a faulty one and returned that one.
Battery Charger Problems
on September 19, 2017
After being plugged in to the charger for a day the speaker/battery goes dead. The first time it happened all the controls on top went dark. The 2nd time it happened (a day later) the lights looked normal for a max charge, but it would not play. The blueTooth was connected to an Echo Dot, which said that the bluetooth was connected but the speaker did not play. The same thing happened when connecting with the Aux cable, so it’s not a bluetooth problem. To get the SoundCore working again, I have to unplug the power and plug it back in. At that point it looks like its charging a completely drained battery.
damaged during shipping but solid sound

purchased as a lightning deal. unfortuanatley mine came damaged. there were a lot of scratches on the soft material on top that wouldnot be buffed away. also scratches on the screen protecting the speaker. great sound but wanted a polished product.
